Who Is B. Home Rustics?

Brian was born and raised in Northwest Indiana.  It was here that he met his wife, Jenny, and adopted their two fur babies, Lola and Bentley. They moved to central Virginia in 2015 and that is when Brian’s love for rustic woodworking began.  Coupled with their mutual love for Fixer Upper and ample access to reclaimed barn wood, Brian started making home décor pieces per Jenny’s requests. 

Word spread about Brian’s custom pieces and friends and neighbors started placing orders.  With the help of some friends, B. Home Rustics was born. Brian was eager to make unique and custom pieces, from shutter carts, to some small furniture, and much more. He spent time learning through online courses and how to videos, utilizing the base knowledge his Dad had provided him throughout his childhood.

When the couple moved to South Florida in 2017, the era of Shiplap really took off.  Jenny requested shiplap and barn door upgrades throughout their home in order to give it a unique rustic touch. Brian and his friend Fabio started creating custom orders in their garage, spending many late nights building and painting away. After Covid hit, it was time to solidify the business in South Florida.

What makes Brian and B. Home Rustics unique, is the attention to detail and customer service.  Brian is a perfectionist by heart and will not allow a project to finish unless it’s exactly right.  He uses his Midwestern roots to provide a customer service experience that is at the highest levels of friendliness, quality, and honesty.
